Restored Mexican Silver Vintage Hoops

These beautiful Mexican Silver earrings have been with me for many, many years. Quite some time ago one of the posts broke off and not wanting to throw them out I just kept them with the hopes that one day I'd figure out something to do with them. One ended up in my jewelry box, another... in with some scrap beading supplies. I kept trying to figure out what to do with the broken earring until recently I realized... I now know how to solder.

And with that flash of brilliance I dug the mate out of my old jewelry box, cleaned them and soldered a new post onto the broken earring. After this I completely refinished them, sanding, tumbling, oxidizing and polishing them to a high shine.

Earrings are stamped .925 Mexico.
